Pho-bulous

Last night I went out for dinner and had one of my favourite home-away-from home comfort foods: Pho. Pho is a Vietnamese beef and noodle soup. The soup includes rice noodles and is often served with basil, lime, bean sprouts and peppers that are added to the soup after it is served.

I find myself going out for Pho almost every week, which got me thinking. Couldn’t I make Pho for myself at home? It couldn’t be too difficult! It’s basically just broth and noodles. So I’ve tracked down a recipe that I will be making next time I’m craving Pho. Here is the recipe, courtesy of AllRecipes.com http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Vietnamese-Beef-Pho/Detail.aspx.

  1. Looks good! Do you have a good place to find the lemon grass? I know they have fresh and already cut frozen lemon grass at our lovely Lucky 97!
